Healing with Psychedelic Assisted Therapy

King of Wands Wellness | Horizon Herbs are hosting Jessica van der Hoek - psychedelic educator, facilitator and advocate for an informative evening of learning. 

After being in therapy for many years due to work place PTSD and childhood

trauma, Jessica was determined to be treatment resistant. In a last-ditch effort to heal herself she sought out Ayahuasca. That experience changed her life. She participated in a week long retreat working with four different medicines. This also changed the course of her life, and when she came back from that trip, she knew that she needed to make these medicines available to those that needed it. Jessica has been facilitating with plant medicine since that experience and continues to do her own healing work with various plant medicines. In the last two years she built and ran one of Calgary’s first Ketamine Assisted Therapy programs. She currently works as an advocate for accessibility and normalization of these treatments, as well as provides consulting, education and coaching in the area of psychedelics.
